The west side of the Parthenon, which you see as you enter. Currently this is the location of the most intensive restoration work. The restorers were determined to do this right, no matter how long it takes or how much it costs. The first step was to find and catalog every single stone of the Parthenon, whether lying around on the ground or in museums somewhere. Then they began to put it together like a huge jigsaw puzzle. To supplement the original pieces, they have quarried marble from the same quarries that the original stones came from.
